Agent Meldo was there, and when the operatives gave him the proper codes, he confirmed his identity. The operatives relayed Suria's concerns to him and asked him why he had not checked in. He said that the security here was tighter than they expected, and he and Dr. Orlian were under constant surveillance. He was waiting for the right moment to approach him, and he must have known that Suria would end up sticking her nose in if I delayed too long. The operatives agreed that Suria was too obsessed with rules and regulations. Then Meldo came to the conclusion that if the operatives were there, it would be easier for them to approach the doctor unnoticed and bring him here to the meeting place, and he would make sure that he got to one of the SIS safe houses. . Avoiding a confrontation, they passed through the complex in search of Orlian's laboratory. When they found the lab, the doctor wasn't there - instead, there was a lone guard and a pair of deactivated processing droids. Surprise on their side, the operatives quickly killed the guard and destroyed both droids.They logged in the console and sliced its security codes, gaining access to the security logs. The latest log was promising:"Security log: supplemental update. Captain Jesh reporting. Doctor Orlian's been acting suspicious ever since the security systems went down. I've temporarily shut down his lab and taken him to interrogation for questioning."The operatives quickly found the location of the interrogation room in the data and ran to it. They found the interrogation section and quickly neutralized the outside guards. , who was on holorecording. Two more droids guarded the cell. Jesh attacked them as soon as he saw them, and the operatives returned fire. The firefight was short-lived, and soon the droids and Jesh were lying on the floor, destroyed and dead respectively.The operatives disabled the force field and released the doctor from the cell. At first, he was scared and suspicious, thinking it was some kind of ploy - he was expecting for Agent Meldo to release him. But the operatives were able to convince him, stating that if it had been a trick, they would not have killed the Imperial officer.At the same moment, three Imperial soldiers burst into the room and opened fire. The operatives took cover and returned fire. After a couple of moments the battle was over, all the Imperials were dead. The doctor thanked the operatives and said that he would find his way to the meeting point. The operatives waited for the disappearance of the doctor and followed him.Some time later, Meldo contacted them and said Orlian was with him and he was going to get him to safety. When they returned to headquarters and reported to Suria, she happily informed them that Agent Meldo had delivered Dr. Orlian to one of the SIS safe houses, the mission achieved one hundred percent objective completion. She thanked the operatives on behalf of SIS and the operatives left. |
